Denim. The Fashion Foolproof Champion

Seasons change but the strength of denim remains the same. Not one to billow in the wind to the cyclic breeze of fashion trends , I soon discovered the timeless treasure embodied within denim.
Denim is the wardrobe essential that wins first place year in year out. I'm going to share with you some of the ways you can revamp your denim centred outfits. I'm no fashion guru, but take my word for it, these tips and tricks will elevate your wardrobe from now till infinity!
Okay let's get started

So jeans, they come in various different washes, cuts and material finish. The first step in creating timeless outfits is to choose the right pair of jeans. Now theres one for every occasion, I'm going to show a few of my personal favourites.

BLACK HIGH-WAISTED JEAN
I tend to reach for this style of denim the most as It's such a universal item that pairs well with virtually anything. Whilst it is not a stand alone statement peice, its the perfect canvas to create both relaxed and dressy looks. In the photos, I've gone for a sporty-street look, something I don't usually go for.

I've styled the black denim with a basic white tee which has the words 'NEW YORK' printed on it. I'm also wearing a khaki sateen bomber which has a really lovely orange lining on the inside. The hat is from Nike and just has their classic swoosh tick.

As the bottoms are black and denim in nature it makes it incredibly easy to re-wear throughout the week. All that needs to be done is to change the accessories and top and you've got a whole new look. The durable nature of denim allows it to be worn quite a number of times without looking too bad. This allows for greater longevity of the item as It doesn't need to be washed regularly and so does not get worn out too quickly. This summer however, the worn out look with rips is definitely reigning- you simply can not go wrong with these!

I've been loving red as my pop of colour and like to bring that in to my outfits in the form of accessories. Here I've gone for my cross body bag by Fiorelli, it's chic, handy yet spacious without looking too bogus.

I decided to complete the look with my all white trainers from Bershka. It has a nice silver zip detail along the side of the laces area and the Bershka logo embedded on the bottom. These trainers are a really nice alternative to the Adidas 'Superstar's trainer.

THE 'MOM' JEANS
This is another of my most used denim items. The Mom jean is another great classic that looks perfect for your day to day wear. Mine is a size too big for me but I still love it all the same. Unlike the skinny fit, black denim pair that I own, these lighter blue wash is made to feel loose and baggy.

I 'm always very comfortable in these jeans. The range in Topshop is very good and come in an array of washes and patterns. My pair does have a bit of a ripped design on the back pocket. I feel as though that particular detail aids that everyday-rugged- laid back look and feel of the jeans.

I styled mine with this gorgeous black and white stripey top from Forever 21. It has 3/4 sleeves which I love and a high neck. This alone gives off a lovely stereotypical French vibe.

I went for two different types of sandals, with this one. First a simple low heeled tan sandal from New Look and then these higher heeled stone-beige espadrilles by Prada. The choice of lighter coloured footwear helps to accentuate an airy-breezy daytime look.

Other of my favourite denim pieces are the dark wash blue jean (classic) and the white jeans (evening /daytime). Of course there are several other forms of denim such as the denim jacket or denim chambray shirts however, I wanted to display my everyday go-to pieces.

Which of these looks was your favourite? What other ways do you style your black jeans / mom jeans.
